EPSON TO SPONSOR THE RED SEA COMPETITION

EILAT , ISRAEL , September 28th. 2008 – Epson, the corporate for printers & imaging products, will be sponsoring the next "Red Sea 2008 underwater photography competition", held in Eilat , Israel . Valued prizes for this year, over 80,000$.
First prize alone has a value of 25,000$, 10,000$ check, courtesy of Epson , and 3 weeks diving safari for two to Papua new Guinea .  

As a preview for the Eilat shoot out, 11 preliminary online competitions were held in 11 countries worldwide. Winners of the online competition are invited to participate at the Epson Red Sea event, courtesy of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.

Winners will also participate in a special category: "winning and donating" (prize of 5,000$), a donation for a special shark preservation project.

"As an environmentally aware company, who would like to take part in the community life, It was very much easy for us to "get in touch" with the Red Sea event", says Oren Fleisher  from Epson. "Taking in mind the colorful scenery, the action sport and the joy of viewing the photos - the link to Epson almost seems natural".

This year Epson Red sea event will be divided into two main categories: "Images of the world" which you can stay home and send in your competition images that were shot any time anywhere in the world.

Deadline for registration and receiving entries:  October 15, 2008

The second category: "Eilat shot out", which will take place during the 3 days of the competition in Eilat, and photos will be marked and submitted at the end of each day - straight to the judge's computers.

"Epson Red Sea 2008" will be held in Eilat , Israel , November 10-15 2008
